63 Days Left to Sign Up For MHP's Kings of the Bench III and MHP's Clash of the Titans II

There's just over 2 months left to sign up for one of the greatest pro benchpress and powerlifting meets in the world. MHP's Kings of the Bench III and Clash of the Titans II will be held at the 2009 Ronnie Coleman Classic Expo on April 18th. This year's Ronnie Coleman Classic will again return to The Mesquite Rodeo and Convention Center (15 miles outside of downtown Dallas, Texas) but the 2009 tradeshow will have roughly double the floor space for twice as much action and excitement.

One of the featured events will be MHP's Kings of the Bench III and Clash of the Titans II where lifters from all over the country (and maybe a few international players) will lift and bench for $10,000 in cash prizes and for a chance to be crowed a king or titan of iron sports.

^^^ Keith Harmon Competition Raw Benches 360 Pounds at 198 Pounds Body Weight and 62 Years of Age. ^^^

^^^ German Sergej Moser, 308, totalled 2,160 pounds raw on Saturday at the German Bembel Man Cup in Rüsselsheim, Germany. Moser squatted 793 pounds, benched 551, and deadlifted 804 pounds to win the heavyweight division. He missed a third attempt deadlift of 826 pounds. The total is the largest raw total in the world in the last two years. ^^^

BenchAmerica 3 took place in 2005 in Chicago. That year's event kept the benchpress super shirts limited to single ply material. BenchAmerica 3 was also a drug tested event and all prize winners were tested and had to pass their tests prior to their getting paid. All of the officials were affiliated with either the USPF , the USAPL , the APF or a combination of the three. Except for a few controversial "belly bench" calls on the part of the judges the meet was exceptionally well ran.

Bench America 3 was aired on Comcast Sports Net nationwide. Joe Mukite , the producer and promoter, paid out over $20,000 in cash prizes in addition to his bringing the sport of professional benchpressing to the general sports fan public.
